Our Handmade St Lucia Cocoa Sticks are crafted by locals on the beautiful Caribbean island of St Lucia. Made from freshly picked and roasted cocoa beans, these sticks are mixed with a hint of cinnamon and dried to perfection, resulting in pure, unsweetened cocoa.

Usage:

• Cocoa Tea Preparation:
  • Add 1 mug of cold water per serving to a pot.
  • Bring water to a boil.
  • Add 1 tbsp of grated cocoa per serving.
  • Optionally, add ¼ tsp ground nutmeg, ¼ tsp ground cinnamon, and 1 bay leaf.
  • Boil on low heat for 3 minutes.
  • Add plant milk (½ - 1 mug per serving) and sweeten to taste.
  • Remove bay leaf if used.
  • Simmer until dissolved, then enjoy.

Storage: Store in a cool place to prevent melting. Once opened, store in the fridge. Cocoa sticks can last up to 1 year.

Taste: Cocoa tea has an earthy, nutty flavour similar to dark chocolate, with a hint of roasted coffee bean. When prepared with plant milk, it becomes a creamy, strong hot chocolate.

Yield: One Cocoa Stick makes 20-30 cups of tea, using 1 heaped tbsp of grated cocoa per cup.
